The seeds of most ideas come from random places.

Here's my example:

A few years ago, I attended an MBA program.

I was at Duke University when I heard something.

A passing comment about American patriotism.

Something in that gave me an idea.

Americans sure love their country.

My initial, admittedly sarcastic, reaction was:

"They'd probably go to bed with America if they could!"

The next thing on my mind was cute and funny.

A giant, cuddly US-shaped pillow.

The initial idea wasn't my cup of tea.

But, somehow, it stuck around.

Who would have thought that years later, when reconnecting with my friend Juan, we’d decide to create country-shaped plush toys for kids? 🤯

The full story behind Plushkies is deeper.

(more on it in a later post)

But it’s funny how an idea stuck with me.
