If I start writing another book today, here’s what I’d do differently
If I start writing another book today, here’s what I’d do differently. 👇
1. Start small
When we release something into the world, we have no idea if it will work or it will not.
So, I will test the waters with small steps.
I’ll write my ideas as short posts here on Linkedin.
Then I’ll use the content that worked as the basis upon which I’ll continue to build my book.
This leads me to my next point.
2. Test and iterate
By posting here, I’ll test the content.
See if it resonates with people.
Keep an open mind about what they say.
I’ll build upon the good ideas.
I’ll come up with new ideas.
And ask my audience again.
3. Incorporate feedback on the fly
I’ll be asking for feedback during a stage where I can actually implement it.
When the book is ready it’s too late.
I’d probably ask for it after the first draft.
And during the “start small” phase.
The rest of the process I’d keep.
But the above 3 changes will help me a lot.
