My biggest startup mistake wasn’t about my product; it was about having this fairytale idea that if I tried hard enough, I could manifest my vision.
As if everything was under my control.
As a first-time entrepreneur, I felt that was hardly ever the case. There was a constant tension between my goals and my outcomes.
I wonder if I trusted my gut too much or if I was too naive and lived in Lalaland.
t So when reality kicked in, and I was totally overwhelmed, I likely said yes to things that looked like progress. A small sense of relief.
But viewing entrepreneurship only through the lens of winning turns your life into a scoreboard. And when you’re not winning (which is most of the journey), you feel like you are a failure.
