5 things I hated about my corporate job

Do you feel like a headless chicken at your job?
You're not alone.

Looking back on my corporate life.

I realized my job wasn’t feeding my soul.

I left a seemingly perfect job with great pay, benefits, and colleagues.

Here is why:

1. Constant change in direction.

A critical thing on Monday is secondary the next day.
The lack of conviction and focus was draining.

2. Excessive bureaucracy.

Time spent on building big presentations.

They become irrelevant before delivery.

3. No priorities.

One moment we'd had to focus on revenue.

The next day we refocus on profitability.

4. Constant structure changes.

"𝘐𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘳, 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘺. 𝘠𝘰𝘶'𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘰𝘯."

Stability was non-existent

5. Unnecessary complexity.

I still get chills thinking about RASCI.

We were 15 people who spent weeks on this really complex responsibilities and accountability matrixes, just to see them disappear into some shared cloud drive never to be seen again.

I realized, it's not about perks.

It's about purpose.
