Will it still be worth it if your startup doesn’t succeed?
YOUR COMPANY DID NOT GROW, BUT YOU DID.
Every founder dreams of big exits.
But sometimes, despite giving it your all, the company doesn’t grow as planned.
→ late nights
→ countless pitches
→ constant sacrifices
And yet, no significant results.
And while the company didn’t change, YOU DID.
As a (first-time) founder.
Your journey matters.
Regardless of the outcome.
Building something from nothing is difficult.
But being a first-generation entrepreneur adds another layer of challenge.
There’s no roadmap.
No family guidance.
No path to follow.
No mentor.
No nothing.
You don’t even know what you don’t know.
Alone.
I realized that beating myself up for things I could have done differently was a waste. I did my best with the knowledge, abilities, and resources I had then.
That’s what matters.
The effort is always worthwhile if you recognize the courage it took to start and the growth it created.
If you’re a first-time entrepreneur—or know someone starting their journey—remember this: the process, if intentional, has value, even when the outcome doesn’t match your dreams.
