We often miss what's in front of us, because of our own biases

We often miss what's in front of us.

Because of our own biases.

We are humans.

We respond with predefined behavior.

On top of reality, we:

- add layers of distortion

- add our own meaning and interpretation

- adjust the information to fit our vocabulary

These biases have an impact on us.

They cloud our judgment and limit our ability to see opportunities.

Here’s what I ask myself:

How can we become more aware of our biases and see the world more clearly?

I try to:

→ Have sensibility

→ Think before I act

→ Look at the nuance beyond my instant response

→ Seek first to understand (paraphrasing Ray Dalio)

My closing thought today is not a question.

It's a challenge:

Go out, open your heart, and listen more before jumping to any conclusions.
